I live in Boston, where I am a professor emeritus (chemical physics) at Boston University and row on the Charles River. My deep interest in landscape photography was awakened by the solitude and mountain light on a 100-day solo retreat over the winter of 1999-2000 in western Massachusetts. I am especially drawn to the tranquility of northern and polar regions.
